I can officially share that Koster Creative Learning and Design is opening its virtual doors! Now I can add entrepreneur to the lists of hats that I wear along with Mama, wife, gardener, sci-fi fan to name a few.
After reflecting on what it was I enjoyed from my various careers I realized that what I loved about them all had two things in common: creating and planning. So, I decided to focus on instructional/learning experience design and content creation. I want to help other learning designers and content creators establish meaningful connections with their audiences and learners through accessible, inclusive, and engaging design/content.
I hold two main beliefs when it comes to design. First, everyone should have the opportunity to learn. And second, the best way to achieve this goal is through audience first design. That is why I focus on accessibility and universal design for learning. By making content more accessible and relatable I can help your audience connect to your message. Accessible design and content promotes usability and memorability.
When coaching clients, I talk about audience discovery and encourage the use of audience understanding exercises and the creation of user persona profiles.
